Legal Internship Program

Thank you for your interest in joining our office as a legal intern.  Every year we welcome students with an interest in the criminal justice system to apply for available positions.

Our internship program is designed to maximize student involvement with the prosecution of crime as we continually strive to uphold the laws of the state of Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu.

Our program offers a wide variety of challenging experiences that reflect the demands and rewards of public service.  Legal interns will be assigned various tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Legal research and analysis
  • Drafting legal memoranda
  • Attending court hearings
  • Observing trials
  • Field trips to various facilities

Candidates should possess excellent writing skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, manage time effectively and have a working knowledge of programs in Microsoft.  All legal interns will be required to sign confidentiality agreements.
