An O‘ahu grand jury indicted Fanaika Mateaki, 26, for Murder in the Second Degree and other offenses, for the shooting death of 39-year-old Ikaika Stone on October 27, 2023. Paea Mateaki, 19, was indicted for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree in connection with the same incident on October 27.

Former Mililani High Athletics Director sentenced for theft of booster club funds
Glenn Nitta, 76, was sentenced to four years of probation with no jail or prison time for the theft of more than $400,000 from the Mililani High School Athletics Booster Club and failing to pay taxes on that money.
