The Honolulu Department of the Prosecuting Attorney hosted a trial advocacy training course for deputy prosecutors from across the state. Twelve deputy prosecuting attorneys from the neighbor islands joined thirty-one Honolulu deputy prosecutors at the Ala Moana Hotel for the week long training course where expert instructors shared their knowledge about prosecuting criminal cases in court.
Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney Keith Kaneshiro initiated the training to provide local prosecutors with the latest ideas and strategies in prosecution. Through presentations and breakout sessions, the deputies were able to learn firsthand from 11 experts on how to effectively prosecute cases.
The National District Attorneys Association coordinated the course content and instruction.
