The Department of the Prosecuting Attorney will conduct a thorough independent review of all officer-involved shootings and use of deadly force, both fatal and non-fatal, to assure the public that law enforcement officers are carrying out their duties in a legally justifiable manner.

The Department recognizes the great difficulties law enforcement has in upholding the law, and is appreciative for the selfless efforts made daily by the thousands of men and women who protect our communities.
